What I thought

Dawulf

by Dawulf on 24 October 2013 - 23:10

People are idiots, plain and simple.

Don't you know those little foo-foo dogs can do no wrong? How dare your "big bad dog" come and scare their little furbaby!

Trust me. If you keep walking and the dog is chasing you, it does three things. 1. The owner looks like an idiot with an uncontrollable dog. 2. It doesn't impact what you intended to do, which is walk. 3. It shows that you aren't as big of a confrontational "idiot".

Chaz I wish we all could be as calm and forward-thinking as you are in situations like these!

Fry, I have had my own issues with fckers who don't keep their little dogs on leash. For some reason the big dog owners, of which there are plenty in my neighbourhood, never have a problem leashing their dogs. Interesting, isn't it? Next walk you are on I would get some small gravel rocks and when the dog starts charging throw them at it. Hard. Try to nail that little thing! Mace can get in your eyes, your own dog's eyes, and can be a real pain to deal with so unless you're walking by yourself I'd ditch that idea.

It's easy for Chaz sitting there on the computer....LOL

Some people.....just don't get it.

It's sad what it takes to get through to some people, I've been there.

When you've run out of options you'll know what I mean.

Sorry 'Fry, you know I have a lot of respect for your opinions,
but I'm 100% with Chaz on this one.  "I don't find getting run
over or hit with a rock" - or kicked - "justice for negligent
owners
.".

This neighbour's behaviour is clearly an indication she has a lot
wrong in her life and her view of the world.  She and her dog may
be an irritant, but you DO need to 'rise above it'.  No-one suggested
you stop walking by the house.  You say you have told her more
than once you aren't paying for stitching up her dog if yours does
bite her.  If Payne is on-leash as you pass, surely no local law
would make you responsible for her vet bills, should her dog run
out at you and get attacked.  Even more certain of that, if there
is absolutely no question of you behaving IN ANY WAY like her !
Stay cool. Please.

Well I still like the cattle prod.

You wanna have fun, try getting hung up in the system, you'll never see the light again.

Well you'll don't get your panties in a wad. I'm on vacation next week and i have instructed my Pops not to walk the dog over there, just in case crazy is loose again. And when i get back in town i'll get the truck out and figure another nice mile walking area. We don't have sidewalks in my neighborhood. So the lake route was good because it was pretty safe to walk. Sans yappy little dogs.
But she gets hostile with me again i'm calling the cops.
I have as much right to walk my dog on a leash as she does, i just actually use a leash.

Two Moons.... Sorry, I was the dislike.  I tried to push like, but my fat figures put it on dislike.

It's alright,
I don't pay a lot of attention to them.
