Faux and Hounds

by Faux and Hounds on 02 September 2011 - 06:09

I have been trying to register a Basset Hound. The dog will register however it says no info on the parents - parents are registered.
I try to do it by updating the pedigree however it tells me that the parents already exist.
When I search for my kennel it says it is not there
When I go in via kennels and breeders all the information is there.
Please help
Thanks

Sure, I will help you. Please provide links to all 3 dogs with a puppy/dog-sire-dam order.

If you want to try it on your own-you need to find sire and dam in the pedigree search on the left in the search section. Once you find the dog(which may not happen with the full name) insert it in the sire/dam spot and try to see if it takes it. It needs to be able to find it in the search in both places, those searches are connected and they search the same database.

If you would just like me to enter it or you can't get it to take, I have no problem doing it.

GSD

Hi GSD,
I have tried the copy and past sire and dams name (both already in the data base) and it did not take.
Thank you for offering - I would apreciate you entering it for me - The dog is in the data Base - his name is Ch Wellingtess Heineikin
His parents are: Sire- Ch Wellingtess Frazer and the Dam is Ch Wellingtess Ezotic Lady.
The program seems unable to link Heineikin with both Frazer and Ezotic Lady
Thank you for your assistance
Regards
Frances

Done and here is how.  The  Ch in Ch Wellingtess Frazer should just be searched as Wellingtess Frazer the Ch is what caused the problems with finding all 3 dogs. Is there a reason for the Ch? The directions state no titles or abbreviations in the name field, for every punctuation mark or abbreviation it makes the dogs harder to search for in the pedigree search http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/basset_hound/search.html

If you have further questions or need further assistance please PM me. Send personal message to German shepherd dog

Sorry for the problems.

Regards,
GSD
