Okay, now I know they're not that common but there are some BTs around here, where is everybody??  We really need to get on the ball here and tell the world how wonderful these little guys in brown suits can be!!  Okay, I'll start.

Nell is my 7 year old female, she can catch bunnies, moles, mice and whatever else happens to creep in to her domain.  My 8 year old male, Cooper, on the other hand has only caught a skunk, YUCK!!  Actually he didn't catch it, he got nailed in the face at point blank range.  Hubby decided to put him in my concrete laundry tub to get the smell out but the only thing he accomplished was embedding the smell in the tub!!  Took three months to get it to a faint aroma, how nice, just love that man.

Cooper dug under the fence once in record time and escaped, not to be seen for 2 days, it was horrible.  We thought we'd never see him again but the little bugger came back on his own.  He couldn't get into the fence so he went and knocked on our neighbor's door!!  He was filthy, hungry and exhausted but he was home!!  Never tried to escape since and that was four years ago.

Seems you can't find these dogs easily, we had to travel for both.  They're also both from ohio, one from Columbus and one from Youngstown.  The breeders keep close tabs on their dogs and make sure you qualify and will give them the kind of home they need.  I wish it were the same with my other beloved breed, the German Shepherd Dog.  Indiscriminate breeding can wreak havoc and so far our little guys have not come to this, thank goodness!  The Jack Russells seem to have become popular and that usually spells trouble.  We can only hope that our dear little furry friends don't become as popular and that the breeders will keep their ranks tight.

There, I started, someone else's turn.
