    Description

Strictly speaking we are just a couple of enthusiasts who are passionate about the American Bulldog. In American terms we are known as ‘American Bulldogs Fanciers’ however, we do occasionally breed our dogs, but only to get a good healthy result in the breed.
All our American Bulldogs live in our home and are considered to be part of the family. The only time they are kenneled is after they have been for a run in the woods and when the weather is hot.

    Leatherworking our hobby

After an extensive search we found that collars and leads for American Bulldogs were very expensive so we decided to make our own.We found someone local to Devon called Kathy who is a qualified saddler and a leather artisan. We became very good friends and she kindly taught us the skills needed to make our own collars and leads. Since teaching us Kathy has now qualified to run leather working classes.

Working with leather has become an enjoyable hobby of ours and we find it satisfying to know that we can make excellent quality products at an affordable price.

We make old English collars and police style 6ft training leads out of the finest quality English 4mm bridle butt leather, furnished with solid brass fittings which are all hand stitched for extra strength. However we can make to your specifcation if you contact us with the measurements, happily make from a item you have already.
We use the training leads because they are very versatile enabling you to change the length of the lead when walking one dog but you can also walk two dogs on the same lead.
It is also nice to have a leather lead that you can carry over your shoulder and wear when the dogs are off running, rather than having to hide it away.
If you are interested in any of our collars and leads then please contact us through our website www.devonbullies.co.uk
