Not me!

Blue Shepherds, Liger Shepherds, Polka Dot Shepherds whatever you got, get to it-

Personally I want a Cinnamon Malinois, a Silver Lab and a Brindle Pug & I'm going to put Schutzhund titles on all of them in the next 30 days

I'm going all the way to the 3's with the pug- yeah baby

Random nonsense, sorry can't always hold it back.....

How in the WORLD, can anyone say my dog(s), DO NOT WORK? My dogs live in my world, the work they do, and are more than capable of doing, Does NOT involve some title that I can BOAST. They are EXCELLANT herding dogs. Any idea how nice it is, when you get a call,"horses are out", and you can get 3-4 Shepherds togeather, head out "in who would know what direction" to look for them, and your dogs tell you"they went thata way", and long before I'm caught up to dogs or horses, the horses are rounded up and on their return trip home?

I live on the top of a mountain, dirt road, surrounded by thousands of acres of state land. Not much fun looking for horses. So yeah, my dogs work.

Had I known what I know now, when my dogs were younger, they would have been being Sch. trained.Could they have done it, I believe they could. My boy Duke, He Goes for Training, If I ever have another Blue Pup, he will go off for training. And the Club I go to would accept him there. They are very decent people, tell it like it is. They may not like particular dogs( I know the big long coat is not liked by some, )but he's welcome there just the same,

Kitkat ans wzzup, Where are you located?

Look,  I get it.  You really love your dogs, you think they are exceptional representatives of the breed, and therefore, should be bred.  The people who buy puppies from you love their pets too, so you think you are not doing anything wrong.  You aren't doing anything worse than what most of the people breeding GSDs are doing, and you are right about that.

In my opinion, that's a big part of the problem.  The fact that your dogs help you find and bring home your horses when your horses  occasionally escape is wonderful, but certainly  not proof that your dogs are exceptional and therefore breed worthy.  Any half-way decently bred GSD should be able to do that.  It's a good starting point, but is not proof your  dogs are exceptional and therefore breed worthy.

Shall we agree to disagree on this matter?  You are not going to change my mind, nor am I going to change yours, so let's let sleeping dogs lie?

Excellent point, Sue, as usual.   The dogs sound like nice dogs.   I stand by my previous statement:

<<But perhaps the issue isn't always the dog, but the owner. Personally, one who lies, misleads and obfuscates probably is not welcome at any club. While clubs may welcome a person wanting to work a blue, I don't know of one whose members would be happy with a member, or prospective member, who breeds blues and rationalizes her actions in doing so. >>

I'd still like to know where these two are located.  Bet they won't dare identify themselves, though.

Sadly you over speak yourself habanaro. As young children our dad was a sporting dog enthusiasts. At an early age we were privy to the fine art of  training handling hunting dogs.My dad really liked a fine dog.The likes of being Springer spaniels,German short haired pointers,English setters and yes even the dreaded beagle.Oh i forgot the basset hound.Funny thing about my dad ,with all those he/we trained .and all the guns he owned ,I do not ever remember seeing or hearing of my dad shooting anything.I think back and know my dad just did not have the dogs for hunting, rather it was the love of the dogs and outdoors. My dad was always bringing us home some high line pup or another.we'd head to the country with these high priced trained dogs and camp swim and enjoyed each others company, dogs included. We have always had dogs in our life. All animals horses, ducks, chickens, turkeys, hamsters.you name it we had it.after my dad passed away .kitkat had dobermans then chows then blood hounds, all fine dogs .i still had mixed breeds.all from the pound..Then i got my first German shepherd..and by no means was it my last.as kitkats dogs got older she also grew to love the German shepherd and as our daddy taught us the purpose of a good dog, our hunt was on.And we have many..there like potatoe chips you can not stop at one.we are not new to the dog we have owned and enjoyed them for upwards of twenty years.Mostly we kept all of our puppies untill the last 8 years or so..so O.K. she has a blue is it the end of the world??no do we understand the breed ??YES..Do we care what you think of us  NO..We do not want to sell puppies to any of you nor do we want to sell puppies in your back yard..If were in your back yard we have been there along time and were not going anywhere. So kitkat breed that blue to your hearts content train at your club learn  and enjoy all those dogs.Thats what im going to do..
