Thanks ladies!  He is the picture of health! And he weighed in at a whopping 38.8 lbs today.   He had three shots today so I'm going to bring him back in two weeks to get him chipped so we wouldn't make him over sore or anything... vet says he usually does it when they are neutered and knocked out but he's already neutered so....

Today is our first snow storm, and Beau's first experience with snow. We had to kind of push him out the door... he wasn't quite sure what that white stuff was, lol.  He just thinks he's supposed to eat it all up I think! Not a lot of great pictures... sorry about that but it is all I have and I am not going outside, it is very cold at the moment. But since I promised to post something today, here goes:

Before the snow came....

Thanks everyone for being a fan of Beau!  Sorry to leave a "blank" up here... was trying to see if I could use the "save" function on the editor to download from my iPhone.... clearly I don't know what I'm doing with that... so I came to my Mac to add these pictures. (I hate clicking on a "blank, myself, lol).

In this next picture you see one of Beau's favorite sleeping spots. It is the cubby created by the kitchen desk where the laptop lives. The chair was pushed in this morning and I heard him cry out! He was just too darn big to fit in it without me moving the chair for him. LOL

And the other good news is, the vet called and his giardia is all clear. He's completely free of any parasites, so yea! LOL

LOL...looks like the collar that was loose when u brought him home is at it's max too....is he getting darker or is that just the picture...looks like there is more defined line of dark and light on his belly....i am still amazed at how huge his paws are... thanks for keeping pictures coming...i love seeing updates on him...I went to Steph site earlier and saw "adopted" list and how small Beau was and all his siblings....and that was only a couple of months ago.

Beautiful dogs bee. You know I have myself a fondness for the blue ones.
I certainly wouldn't count his ears going up out yet. In the third pic they sure look like they want to go up.
I. Have found over the years, the bigger of the pups, sometimes, not always, takes a little more effort for the ears to stand. I have a couple of bigger pups now, that are just a couple weeks behind Beau, whose ears have not even started going up yet, while the smaller pups ears have been up since 4-5 weeks old.
I know you will love him either way. He is looking good !
(BTWx any progress with him and your son, or are you getting all the love?)

I just love him. He is coming along so well Congrats on the vet report. You know I think those ears might stand too. They are getting closer and coming up a little more every time. It just might take longer because he is so big. And they may never stand exactly perfect. So if they don't? That will just add to his character. I love the snow and sort of wish we had some....................supposed to snow here week after next but we'll see......................Just wanted to add as long as the power stays on it's all good.................

Steph says she has pixs of his siblings and their ears are up.  I have not given up at all on them either, yet, they seem to be wanting up, my son also agrees. I haven't used my magic yet, either, that is the last resort. He gets all the jaw strength and chomping with those raw bones, yogurt, cottage cheese, and the other day my DH gave him sour cream!   I never did that. I have to buy some kale and spinach and carrots and juice them up, I am told. I was thinking I could do the ol' ice cube trick with those, and pop them in the dogs bowls and it would be easy to supplement.

And for those who asked about the bonding concerns I had, the good thing about all these unscheduled school days being off is, I have stepped back, the boys have stepped up, and I see progress there, too. Beau still loves me, but isn't insisting on seeking me all the time.   That is a good thing.
