Renz

Thank you KCzaja for a trainers opinion which means a lot.  Some of us just hear about the dogs - but if you have worked them you would know.  I have had some really fab dogs from a breeder who is now retired and still researching on which to go with - in the running is Mittelwest/Toni Brezel or a kennel in Germany- would appreciate a female - because I have a male and I love harmony...........no conflict............black and white..........no dividers........no hot heads nice stable dog with beauty and brains.

Renz have you looked at www.vollmondshepherds.com ? Nina has a very small scale but very high quality program. I've trained some very beautiful dogs from her with excellent temperament, also.  I've had some experience with her and have found her to be trustworthy and professional.  And maybe I'm a softie, but she really cares about her dogs, and I love that.  Also, while I have had no personal experience with Kirchenwald dogs, I have heard them spoken of highly by more than one person.  Are you looking for a dog immediately? I just bred my bitch to SG40 Yacco Vallendarer Hohe, but of course it is too early to tell if I will have anything at all.

If you do go with an importer, may I recommend you choose your middle man carefully. Pick someone with a good reputation, not a good sales pitch. There are a few unscrupulous ones in this area.

Renz

"Albert" is a very handsome dog....we work with Julie and her group every Saturday for protection work...so we see Albert on a weekly bases....you would really like him!...he's a nice balanced dog.

As for importing......I agree with the above statements......BEWARE!.......I KNOW of a few "middle men" right off the top of my head that WILL screw anyone that they can.

When I was looking for a stud dog to add to my kennel, I contacted Julie and was lucky enough to be able to purchase her male Flint (fabian's littermate). I can't tell you how much I adore this dog. He is wonderful. Julie is a really nice LADY who is there any time you need her. I had previously sent one of my females to Julie for breeding, which is why I contacted her when I saw that Flint was for sale. I currently have a 5 month old male out of Flint from one of my breedings.  Mittelwest is more than respectable, and in my opinion the best show line kennel in the USA. I would trust anything Julie told me, she hasn't steered me wrong in the couple of years I have been associated with her.

Flint has excellent temperament, is strong, determined, gentle with other animals(this includes children) He definately can work,(although his article indication needs work). He is very protective of his house, property, me and his truck. I plan on breeding Flint to one of my females in the next couple of weeks. He produces well.

Julie is very straight forward, no BS, she stands behind her dogs, and supports the people who have them.

I also, love her dog Albert, but I am a bit biased as I think Ghandi is one of the best show line dogs out of germany, and I have Albert's half sister.
