Puppies have no business playing with other dogs...you are asking for trouble, and injury....you dont know these dogs? she is playing with....dog parks are not good...thing for german shepherd puppies..ears can get hurt..and never stand ,,and other hitting and biting your pup can seriously injure any puppy...

You may find it very beneficial to put your puppy on Hokamix. It is a wonderful supplement that works beneficially with joints and other such problems. There are many testimonials to back up this product. I had a puppy with Pano and after using Hokamix for 3 months it is no longer an issue. We recommend it to anyone that purchases a puppy from us. I hope this helps.

Louise, I do agree with you about the food, depending of course on the type and/or formulation of the food. I have endured Pano once, and it was with a pair of males who were littermates. I fed them Royal Canin Large Breed Puppy, and changed this a bit by mixing it 50:50 with the Royal Canin Maxi GSD 24 for about six (6) weeks. I did restrict their exercise as well, and it eventually passed. It was confined to the front legs of both males, but I saw favourable results after two (2) weeks or so. I administered nothing to alleviate the pain as they did not seem to be very tender. I also disagree with switching a puppy to adult food at an early age, provided I am the one raising the puppy. I have successfully raised puppies with healthy bones, joints, and coats and kept them on high-quality large breed puppy food for as long as fourteen (14) months. I typically never use the recommended daily amount though, and judge proper nutrition by the physical appearance and "feel" of the dog. But I know there are poor foods out there for growing puppies, especially larger breeds that have a greater disposition towards Pano. In those cases perhaps the switch to an adult food, or better yet the proper puppy food of correct nutritional content works best. Best Regards, Bob-O

When my pups get pano, I don't switch foods and they get over it in 2 weeks' time as well. It's growing pains - normal and they get over it. Switching food may or may not help - bottom line is, they get over it eventually no matter what you do. I give children's aspirin or buffered aspirin when it's very painful, or in very bad cases, rimadyl as needed. But they do get over it, changing food or not, giving meds or not, keeping them quiet or not. molly

Lyme Disease can cause arthritis-like symptoms; pain, lameness, limping, etc. These symptoms are often the only signs that a dog has the disease. A simple test at the vet's office can be done to check for Lyme. Just a thought.. ~Lauren

Back at ya Kool, Its entirely up to you, weather or not you take your dog to a vet. Only you can see if there is pain and how much. Dogs get hurt, kids get hurt, we all have pains. My dogs run wild and are always into something. I dont run to the vet or the doctor over every little scratch and scrape. But I am always aware and keep an eye on the situation. You take care of her and if your worried then see the vet. Good luck and happy new year.
