Also include Ester C and lots of raw meat  in diet  . Raw meat contains and makes natural C in the body of the dog and helps keep the colagen in the hips and the elasticity in tact.....swimming is good to tighten up also......

I think you will get an OFA fair. The left hip looks good, but the right one seems like it has a little narrower opening than the other. But they look pretty good. Let us know what you get.

What do you think about this X-rays positioning?  This is a 14 month old dog.  What do you think?

Kaiser, I think you should start a new thread about this.

IMO it is not a well positioned x-ray, the pelvis needs to be more symetrical and the knees need to be rotated inwardly. The dog is probably OK, but another x-ray is needed to be sure. I'd have him sedated the next time. It looks to me like he may have been awake and fighting the manipulation?

He was fighting pretty hard.  I was in there with the vets holding him down.

Thank you for your reply Blitzen.

Blitz (or anyone who knows), Can you elaborate some more on the positiioning issues?  What is it in the 2nd picture that tells you the knees are not rotated in and also how can you tell the pelvis isn't straight.  I swear, the more I try to learn how to read hip & elbow xrays, the more confused I get!
