So sorry for the loss of a wonderfull GSD.Its always so heartwrenching when one of these beautifull specimans pass on so early.Maybe one day all of these wanna bees (breeders)will start to consider the GSD HEALTH instead of all the other bullshit and the good ole mighty dollar.

So sorry for your loss Jim, Micah was a great looking dog and I am sure he brought you great pleasure during the short time you had him.

I keep coming back to the thread to look at Micah's picture, what a beautiful dog, clearly a delight to behold.  I cry every time I see it, the world is definitely a sadder place with one less great dog in it.  I am so very sorry for your loss though his time was way too short it's clear it was a great one and he was well loved and appreciated.  I hope you can fill the hole Micah has left.

my best

A couple of my favorite pics of Micah.  He could have his quiet moments too where he would let me pose him for these kinds of shots.  This of course was usually after about a half hour of him playing catch and chase with his tennis ball.

He was a beautiful dog. I truly hope  you don't let this terribly sad experence sour you on the breed. My first GSD was unhealthy from the time we got him at 10 weeks. Allergies, autoimmune problems, chronic bacterial infections and the final straw, leukemia that took him from us when he was only 7 1/2. It was just horrible and I said - no more GSD's. Well, a few weeks later I was on the search for another, bought Blitz, born on Christmas Day 2001, I took that as a good sign. So far so good, has never seen a vet for being sick. Although he is a pain in the butt in many ways ,  I have never been sorry I got another GSD and hope you will give it another try. I can tell you loved Micah very much, please consider giving another GSD the opportunity to have a great home.
