Avorow

I get a few of these as well, and the inhereted money that must be moved out of the country thing!  On another note, I always have paid by certified bank check for dogs that I have bought, I sent a transfer one time as a deposit and then went two days later with the balance in check form.  The check cleared the bank before the transfer!   These were fairly local, just two states away and not overseas, but still, not all checks are bad.  I am glad that I took the transfer documentation with me to get the dog!

Doesn't surprise me at all! I saw a news report on these scammers and they literally fill internet cafes, sitting side-by-side, and send out scores of e-mails because they usually only need to snag a small percentage of those they contact. America is one of their favorite places because they feel it is full of suckers - people who are willing to help others, possibly because they expect something in return but not always.

I get these messages, too. Most of the time I get a good laugh out of them because they start to sound incongruous. Unfortunately, I need to do some "profiling" and am extra careful of messages from certain places, especially if the sender is not direct about where they might originate from.

Thanks for the heads-up! Sorry you had to experience something like that but good that you caught it in time!

IT's a good reminder to all
