Boarding may help, make sure you can trust where she is at and they understand and support what you are working towards. Another option is dog day care. You can also try a crate. I know you hate them. Avoid defense/pressure if at all possible. You can also try having someone else handle her for the helper. If you are concerned/worried, she will pick up on it at the other end of the leash and keep coming back to you to see if she can help you.
