Glenda, that is just so sad.  Lets not forget the social ramifications of allowing two pups to grow up together in one crate, something I advise my clients to NEVER do. I will send along an email as well.

Again, shame, shame, shame on that breeder.

The breeder should take back the dog's, b/c from what I could see Kate really doesn't like the dog's or includes them in her life, so why have them any more. They deserve a loving family enviroment that lets them be included in with the family.

Thanks for getting involved, you guys--I don't personally own GSDs, as we're a Husky/Malamute family, but love working with them during training sessions!

that's just terrible, I hope someone does something about that.  shame on the camera crew/director etc who stand there and see this ABUSIVE AND NEGLECTFUL treatment happen, film it even!!! and don't do anything about it.

It just gets worse... a quote from Jon in this article: "Those kids beat them up, climb on them, pull their tails, bite at them, drag them around and everything you can imagine not to do to an animal, they've done," he says. "But you know what: when they're on duty, they're on duty."    www.people.com/people/article/0,,20283008,00.html

never saw the show. does anyone know if they ever take them for walks, or let them out to play? i get criticized for crating my dog, spunky lays in there with the door open, and fluffy has a blanket in front of the couch, where i tie her when we leave. they get playtime in the yard  though and minimum walk of 2 miles daily, 5 or more with the bike sometimes. i couldn't imagine getting a dog, or two, and never doing anything with it!

I hope that this  piece of @@@@ program goes of the air!! They have made ample money off their kids, and that's all they wanted in the first place. The poor VICTIMS.....The 2 dogs and the 8 children!
