Blueshep -- The boy's name Gunther \g(u)-nther, gun-ther\ is pronounced GUN-ther.   It is of German origin, and its meaning is "battler, warrior"

MaggieMae, Gunther is a good name, my other male is named Wolfgang or Wolf for short. I got his name from watching dogs search for people in the 911 world trade center attack on tv. They had a dog named Wolfgang that died from all the crap he inhaled while searching for bodies in the ruble at the trade center. After watching that on tv I named my boy Wolfgang. Gunther is sounding pretty good.
