Mink pups can be screamers, at least thats my experience with some.  I have a 3,4 on Mink female http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/491115.html  She is a very willing, easy to please female,  generally calm natured.  but can clear a 6ft solid concrete wall in 1 jump.  She's long bodied and heavy built.

I have an Iko and Jenni Lindenhalle granddaughter.  Nothing hectic about her.  Toughest darn female I have ever worked. She is 8 years old and retired except for tracking.  I also own a daughter and there are two sons and 4 of her grandkids in my club.  I love these lines.  I wish I could find a Mink male to breed her daughter to.

I also owned a Mink granddaughter through Arko Parkstraße.  She was my first SchH.  Another great dog to work, tough, super in all three phases.  VERY VERY sound in temperament.  She was long, though, and I had to retire her at 5 due to back problems.

I have a Mink great grand=daughter  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/458839.html   who is quite sharp.  Have to watch her all the time.  I wish she was a little looonger in the body.  I keep trying to stretch her.  Great with my son though.

I love the Mink lines.

When I first got into Schutzhund I had American Pit Bull Terriers and Belgians and swore I'd NEVER own a GSD. Boy did I come to my senses fast after seeing some good ones.

Having watched Cito v Hilsblick (Jago son) go from a 10 month old "pup" to adult I became a fan.  My first GSD I imported from Lindenhalle kennels in 94.  Dieter is the man who I learned most about Shepherds and training from. He is simply an inspiration to train with and I feel blessed to have spent time just sitting down and talking dogs with him. He certainly prefers a different sort of dog then most of the Schutzhund folks I meet at trials like and I tend to agree with his preferences and I never want to see tough dogs disappear from the sport. Just in 10 short years I have seen the trend switching over to a softer, more easily controlled dog in order to title easier.

My first GSD Roxie was bred 3-2 on Mink and she was to date the hardest female I have personally been around still to this day, she worked like a male, nothing sporty about her.  I have owned a Cito son in the past  and currently own Fierce, a Jago grandson.  Fierce is a tough SOB, and I had been warned from a few people who trained with his sire, Lacelle's Eros, that this is the kind of dog I could expect.  Comparing a hard bitch to a hard male...well..certainly a big difference.  I may sitck with training females after this dog.

Last year I imported a Belgian bred pup to use him on IF she should turn out as I hope she will.  I love the aggression Fierce brings and while not sporty at all he is the kind of GSD I like and if I ever feel I need a true protection dog, he is the dog I would choose.  I am hoping he will throw his power and seriousness into the bitches I plan on breeding him to as I don't want to ever lose it.
