Hi we are in South Africa with very hot and rainy weather this time of the year perfect for fleas, we tried Frontline not working, we also have puppies 12 weeks OLD so we did all the dogs with Advantix, no more fleas on the dogs and puppies, But you must folow up every four weeks, you could try the tabs Capstar and another one?, sorry forgot the name, you give your dogs one tab then the next day a diffrent tab last four weeks also. Fleas have been very bad this year. We recommend Comfortis or Vectra 3D for treating the animals. You must bomb the house using a product labeled with IGR (insect growth regulator) and you must treat the yard as well. Bayer makes a good yard spray. None of the yard sprays will contain a good IGR as the chemical is rendered useless by sunlight.
You should count on treating as above every 3 weeks until your infestation is under control. Thereafter use Comfortis or Vectra 3D on the animals once monthly year round.
