I am new to the GSD world and just learning, but that seems like a whole lot of linebreeding in the pups pedigree.  I have seen many pup peds. with a 5-5 or two before but this is something alltogether different.

Is this normal in some lines? Is it a reason for pause and concern for health reasons?

This is quite a bit of linebreeding on this dog, more than I would want in my own dog for sure.  Genetic defects can take a while to accumulate and manifest, at which point it's tough to undo the mess.

Look at the linebreeding on VA1 Larus von Batu!  I personaly like linebreeding.

I was only curious on what you all thought about his picture not his pedigree.

Best wishes

Heres a link to the picture for your next post. You just right click on the picture, select the location link, copy  and paste it in your topic, like this:

That way you can really control the comments you get, and you can avoid having to redirect the topic as above, right?

Good luck with the linebreeding.  Let us know how it turns out in 8-10 more generations, but what does the future matter if you get good points in the shows today, right?..right?
