Hi Skywalker! When you write it, it sounds sooo good!  "... big bones.."

Have you given it any consideration whatsoever, that the "bones" are already way beyond what we need!? We don't need "massiveness", we need "workability"! Therefore, GSD's need to be... "slim & slender". The stacked bodybuilders don't look like the athletes they need to be in order to be able to work "lightly".

"and good for work..."?? Have you been present at the BSZ-Schutzdienst-performances? Doesn't look like very good work to me! But then I am spoiled by the work of the Belgian workingdogs at the WUSV-selections: Frank Beeckmans, Ronny Van Den Berghe, Christine Sonberg and of course the faboulous Soitje Smulders  (remember Gaggenau-clip?) and Johnny Degens, whom I personaly would like to see on the highest podium for a change, he'd deserve it.

(Results by the way here: http://www.vvdh.org/indexned.htm THEN LOOK FOR and PRESS: "AFRICHTING". (If you're not familiar with the counting: there are 3 selections: 1st CA, 2nd CA and Super-CA. The two best results are then added as one has to attend only two. The best will go to WUSV together with the best performers from "la Wallonnie" - our Frenchspeaking sportcollegues from the southern part of (huge) Belgium. Grin!)

But let's get back to the Show!

I think it is only elementary that the Judge (Mister Meyer for the males this year) would be at least present for the Schutzdienst. Then and ONLY THEN can he evaluate the workingskills in his selection for the VA-titles. Remember! It is NOT a fashionshow, the GSD must remain a workingdog! If NOT, he's NOT a German Shepherd. Bad performances of former VA-dogs were reflected in their offspring on many occasions, but when the Zuchtwart is not present, he can't take it into account on Sunday. Elementary, I daresay!
