Coats are a FAULT!!!! PERIOD!!! Is this not what keeps the problems in this whole breed??? Ignorance, or shall I say disregard, for standards!!!

I couldn't find a full name or a pedigree on the stud dog. I didn't feel like looking up his parents to see his ped. By the pic they have posted he looks like a nice plush, not a long hair. Still ,with the info on the dog or lack there of, I wouldn't pay that fee. Looks like the parents are working police k-9's that could be the reason for no Shc titles. If the dog is a kick ass police or drug dog, there are people out there willing to pay that. Plenty of us out there acknowledge that Sch titles are not everything!

I just checked out the link - what is with the female Bonita?  She is about my dogs age and looks much older.  Also - has she not be brushed or is she missing some fur in the back end?  I know females coats are the greatest after having pups, but to me she doesn't look well kept.

And poor Bonita was for sale not too long ago, I think.

I haven't looked at the ad and don't feel the need to, to make my points.  I might add the additional point that even if his dog is a piece of trash (as I said, I have not even looked at the ad mentioned), why can he not ask for 2 grand for stud service?  He could ask for 50 thousand for all I care.  If some idiot pays him that much, 2 thousand or 50 thousand, then good for him.  Anyone who is foolish enough to pay that much, for a stud such as described here, well then, that idiot needs his/her money taken away from him/her, before she/he does some real harm to the world with it.  If Paris Hilton breeds her little ball of fluff (I'm talking about her dog, ya'll, nothing else of hers ), I am sure that some idiots will pay 10 thousand for one of her pups.  "A fool and his money are soon parted" is one old saying.  Another is "there's a fool born every minute".

Anyone is free to ASK what they want for stud service, from any dog they want to offer.

Before I am asked.  I would not have this particular dog described above, stud my female for free, let alone pay for it.

ramgsd:  my argument is:  If this same guy takes his dog and titles it by next January, it is the same dog.  If someone got stud service from his dog today, then come next January, what have they gained for their pups?  A marketing tool.  That is all.

Not to change the subject back to poor dead Max, the dog who was shot by the police officer, but, that dog was not titled and it alledgedly attacked an intruder and took several gunshots to its body and alledgedly kept coming.  Now, honestly.  Is there anyone reading this that can say with a straight face that they currently own a titled dog that would take 4 bullets into its body and keep attacking and take 2 or 3 more?  If you can say yes, diffinitely, then I want your dog for stud service and lets negotiate.

Titled dogs and untitled dogs from the same backgrounds and lineage, carry the same genes.  Yes, one has proved himself and one has not, but your odds of getting the same genes from both are pretty much a wash, and you just may get better puppies from the untitled dog.  I figure the odds are about fifty-fifty that the untitled dog could produce slighty better puppies, genetically speaking, if both the untitled stud and the titled stud are littermates.
