You forget to mention D.H. that HD was only found in domesticated dogs, where humans steered the breeding (inline).

A pup HAS no “ZW” breed value. The dog will only have a certain breeding value AFTER he or she was bred. Giving the pup a ZW which consists of adding its parents quotes and devide by 2 is just plain stupid. About as stupid as granting VA-titles to 3 year old, oversized dogs that present no offspring of significance whatsoever at the BSZ.

Find yourself another guinea pig for your veterinary experiments, removals of femoral heads and creations of sliding joints. We have seen enough of suffering dogs to make up our own decision.

Your misrepresentation of all the facts merely show your personal interest in the breed. Use your efforts and knowledge for the purpose of changing insufficient breeding regulations of the SV. I will do just the same.

I have sent the mentioned x-rays to the most renowned veterinary faculties of German Universities. Nobody doubted the facts. Are you trying to say I am responsible for canine hip dysplasia, that I altered his x-rays? I don’t think so. I have done what every reader of this website does. If you want a healthy dog, try to find the best breeder there is. I went to the best and got the worst.

That would make two of us .... your x-rays prove the dog wondered in circles to the right most his life, and to mention the acetabulum was fractured @ a young age and from what I read here .... no medical attention. I feel sad for the dog. And this time the Breeder being sued.

Hmmmn, I'm not taking sides against you jantie as like I said I have been in a similar situation though to a lesser extent, but let's imagine in an ideal world all progeny of S.V. approved breeding stock were X-rayed and rated, Z.W.s would probably rise, then let's imagine after say 10 generations any sire or dam that had ANY incidence of H.D. in it's ancestory was excluded from breeding, I think it would narrow down the already limited gene pool a lot further, plus I expect there would still be incidences of H.D.  I hear rumours of scientists identifying the H.D gene, not sure if it's fact yet but it would be interesting to find out how many Vs or V.A.s are totally free from it.

You guys - I did not want to start a debate or degrade any person or kennel.  I have and so do others have great respect for the Wildsteigerland kennel.  I am grateful that they are still breeding and have an upstanding kennel.  And I hope to get a puppy from them in the future.  I have never imported a puppy or dog - So please accept my appoligies if I started something.  Thank you for the individuals that did give me good information.  I can always count on this board.  One of my best dogs ever hands down was a pup out of CASH WILDSTEIGERLAND -

when why did you loose your case? Let me guess: Because your legal representation messed up. Otherwise, you would have won. Right? I have told you on different boards numerous times how I feel about you misrepresenting our breed with your strange statistics. And do not compare Ice to Indiana. Kathy has told you that repeatedly as well.

It is really a shame you are so consumed with hatred because I really value you and your vast knowledge on anything else. Wake up and smell the roses, Jantie! There is actually life out there. I am not trying to be your enemy, you do that to yourself already.
