Personally, I could never part with a dog that has grown attached to me. It would be a total betrayal of that trust they place in you. If hard times come, my dogs will just have to ride it out with me, and, yes, I would move to accomadate a pet, been there, done that. THAT SAID......I am currently trying to come to terms with placing my new little babies by promising them I will find them the best homes possible, where they, too, will be loved, and considered a family member. And I'll always be there with them, my data stored in the little chip they will carry for life.....But for folks who do this for a living, business decisions have to be made, for many of the very sound reasons listed above, and yes, to promote cash flow. That sounds harsh, but if dogs are paying the bills, they're also paying for the dog food, etc; & if you care about your dogs then you make sure they get fed.....does that make sense? As long as care and attention are given to finding that special match, a forever home, I can't criticize it. Sure there are and always will be racketeers, but this is true in every endeavor taken on by man or women. If we keep hollering about legitimate breeders, we are going to wind up losing all of our rights to our animals. Squawking just fuels the activists fires, and makes the innocent 'dog-lover' type think they're right! jmho- jackie harris
