Ajax v Rohnsaler Bach
And Baghiro vd Bosen Eichen
Two of my favorite dogs, they both have the sturctural apeal of a showline and working abilities. Gorgeous aren't they!

I don't understand why this one rated a kkl2, because he's very "beholden to my eye".

my guess for the KKl-2 on the grey dog is that he's built like a limo - really long in the back - also short/steep upper arm (normal for working lines) but his straight, upright shoulder makes that even more evident, and probably affects his movement in the front as well (movement can also give KKl-2). Lighter eye color than is preferred. Withers could be higher too. Short croup. Otherwise, handsome dog and I'll bet he can work, which is more important than getting KKl-1 IMO.

Yeah I can't even judge a dog by pictures and say he is the best rep of the breed standard. I think the working ability needs to come before the looks in importance. Some of the showline dogs are drop dead gorgeous but if they can't work, I don't care. Vice versa, I'm willing to let some structural faults go when a dog is sound at 12 yrs and still knocking out decoys.
