Hi everyone

Looks like you all had a fab time , would love to take my son and daughter to the next one !!

Excellent for the youngsters to gain confidence I know my daughter has been wanting to start handling

for ages just shown her the thread , roll on the next one !!!

Love to have you.  If you get to any shows, make yourself known to us, and we can introduce ourselves to your daughter, then she wont even be coming to the next one not knowing anyone, that would be  nice for her...  welcome aboard..

I would like to thank everyone who took part in, helped at and sponsored the Junior Rally Day. The day seemed to be a huge success and I will try very hard to do it again next year.

We wish to claim our first success from the rally day - 7 days after the rally, my daughter, Katy Pearson, handled Mascani Odessa in the challenge at North Wales Alsatian and managed to bag the bitch CC - whilst you have to have a great dog to do this we all know the handler's skills count too so we are all very proud of Katy's acheivement at the age of 14.

I am particularly grateful to all who sponsored the event - without your support I would be bankrupt and the participants would not have had the wonderful momentos of the day!

Junior Rally Day 2008

The instructors at the first GSD Junior Rally Day were:

I am really grateful to the instructors for giving up their time and I know that the participants really benefited from your advice. John and Sarah travelled a very long way for the day which is much appreciated and John in particular attended the day after his son’s wedding – dedication above and beyond the call of duty!

I would also like to thank Keith and Linda Williamson who agreed to judge the handling competitions. Unfortunately they were unable to make it on the day due to flooding but their support was appreciated none the less. Mike Ruston and John Ward stepped in for judging the handling classes in the end – each one judging the age group that had been trained by the other.

Most of them were there soaked to the skin on Saturday afternoon when we were laying out the rings and erecting shelters and were also there at the end of the day on the Sunday to cut down greatly the work we had clearing up. It is also worthy of note that all of the participants were clean and tidy and left the venue litter and dog mess free.
