My dogs are from sport titled working lines (and one retired police K9) and I train in schutzhund.  I'm a USA member, but not a hardcore sport enthusiast, nor do I make a living working dogs or breeding them.  I have a day job to pay for my dog habit, if that's what you want to know.  Anyone who can support their own livlihood fulltime in dogs, maintaining stronger quality breeding stock and working them to a fuller potential, certainly has my envy.  But there's not too many who would fit that description, in any respectable fashion.

True enough, Daryl. I don’t even want to calculate how many pups you’d have to sell in order to make a decent living from it! Suppose a few top stud dogs would help.

When all is said and done though, of all the GSD working dog pups produced how many would actually end up performing serious work?
