I can attest to the wonderful set-up and relaxation at the Yellow Rose Ranch, LOL!  You and your dogs could be safe and sound until you get your feet on the ground.  Lots of fun and always an adventure with YR!  Don't even think twice, just get there, and fast!

I 90 thru Chicago has no toll booths ! 294 has the toll booths! If you are coming from wisconsin south I 90 feeds to rt 41 which turns into 90 thru chicago to I 65 at Indianna . How do you wish to recieve the funds? Do you trust pay pal?  I pass transponders for all toll in illinois is 35.00 and a credit account?  From the wisconsin brdr all the way t o indianna is a free non toll ride via rt.41 and I 90  and You get to go right thru the city on 4 lane rds. Only go early in the morning or late evening !

I never really know where I am. LOL I do remember paying a LOT of tolls for the van and even more for the dog trailer from about Ohio to the WI state line a few weeks back. I took alternate routes when I went back south and East, but don't ask me what they were. The lady in the box on the windshield says "turn"... I turn. Sometimes she lies, sometimes she takes us the "scenic route" miles out of the way, but sooner or later she usually gets it right.

I suspect PayPal is fine. I can't publish the address where I am on a public forum. The people who need to know where I am, where I am going when I am going... DO... and they ain't tellin'. LOL

Warning- I could pop up just about anywhere.
;-)
If you see a gal with a beat up Henschel hat and a GSD, its probably me.

Well as long as your pay pall adress is correct and you get the e-mail notification from pay pal then everyone who wants to help can at the click of the mouse! I do not know how it works but I use pay pal all the time to shop for dog gear and this will be the first time sending personel money!

Go south, young woman, go south! YR can whip up some of her famous tomaten (?) salad and my recipe for cobbler. The food, the friends, the dogs.

That lady in the box on the windshield can be a pain in the butt!  But, at least it's somebody to argue with to get some frustration out, LOL.  I laughed with, talked to and played games with Drake, but you do need to argue every once in a while and she's the perfect target.  "Recalculating...recalculating...recalculating."  Well you idiot, go ahead and recalculate, there's no road there!  Ha Ha!  If you get anywhere near Galveston, she will go crazy recalculating, they just rerouted some of the roads and the exits are in different places, it's crazy!  I actually had to pull out a map!  And don't trust the speed limit on that GPS in Texas, it lies!  Everywhere else in the country, as soon as the signs change, so does the limit on the GPS.  I think Texas did it on purpose just so they can nail you, watch the actual speed limit signs and don't listen to the crazy woman in the box!

"Lady in the box"!!  Howling at that one!  That broad has gotten me lost repeatedly and then had the nerve to screech more directions to make me circle back.  Shoulda just paid attention to the lovely signs on the road, instead!!   WHY is it a female voice, anyway?

by happyday on 10 August 2009 - 16:08

Lady in the box is a female cause if was a man and he got you lost - he wouldnt recalculate....he was just let you keep going in that direction - wouldnt want to admit he had gotten you lost with his directions........lol

Just an FYI for anyone wanting to help Shelley out...

You can go to any Walmart and wire money without a receiving address.  They just put the money into the system and give you a claim # that you can then PM to Shelley and she can go to any Walmart to claim it.  She just needs that # and BINGO...cash in hand and no one needs to know her whereabouts!  So if you feel like helping our girl out then get your hiney's to the local Walmart.  :-)

Folks, this is all great and from someone that's been where Shelley is now, I want to say thank you for her. The offers of a place to come and stay are wonderful and heartfelt and much appreciated. She can't move on to the future until the past is taken care of. The economy sucks and times are tight for all of us. But we can all afford to skip a dinner out, a movie or some other little thing to help one of our own that needs it.
