What would it matter if the Sch 1 tracks were in a different location?  As long as ALL the 1s were in the same place, what does it matter?

BTW, Claudia's dog Yara is not a Malinois. Yara is a sable GSD.

Two judges were originally scheduled.  For some reason, one judge was dropped.  Then there was a large entry, probably beause Outkast is a great club with an excellent reputation.   That's why things were probably rushed--all those dogs to track in one day--with one judge, in two different towns.  Tough on the judge.

Dhuinulfr, were you present at tracking? I was, and I did not see anything about tracking that would be considered rushed.

Tracking conditions were normal at the trial for a championship ( the hot weather made things a little more complicated for some dogs........though some dogs failed even at 7:30am with a field full of dew, others managed high SG and V scores even in the later hours of the day).  The luck of the draw is the luck of the draw, training is training, and the day is the day.......anything can go wrong even when you've done everything right, afterall, this is dog sport..........I've never been to a trial where you didn't have to walk out to track (sometimes long distances) and wait for the dog before you to finish so you'd be at your track and ready to go when the judge was done with the previous dog.  To me (and most at the trial), the waiting was completely normal for a large trial, as was the walking in to the tracks.........some dogs had to walk the same path and wait in the same place as three bitches in heat had just been to get to their tracks, that is an unfortunate draw, however, the dogs tracked........one with a 95.  Guess that is the training part.  Congratulations to all who competed this weekend for their efforts and sportsmanship!  It was a great trial!

Im sorry to have missed the trial. My bil is really involved in the sport and I am just getting familiar. I saw there were a few 99s in protection. I would have loved to see that......anyone know if there are any vidoes floating around. I heard Dana Palumbo's dog was phenominal in this phase and would be very interested in seeing it!

I did hear from a few friends that the trial was first class, done well and it was a nice event to attend! So great job to the host club!!
