I am in need of some good advice, maybe women who have been in the same position? - Page 4

One thing I have learned is that very few dogs that are in a bad situation such as this WILL NOT protect the wife!  The husband has asserted his dominance over the wife, the kid and the dog!  The dog will never challenge the agressive husband for dominance or to protect the wife!  Husband has probably already damaged this dog just by being around it!

after been in that kind of relationship i was driven to kill my mate .i went to mental health after purchacing a sawed off gun to shoot him with he beat my dog to death and left it in the basement and took us all out to icecreeme only to come home and find my dog dead from his hands    he beat my kids and broke my back.... put me in bed for a year for back yo heal... as soon as i was up i bought the gun, with thoughts of killing him, i felt my dogs spirit was in me ,,,,yes i was driven crazy as i said i went to mental health,..... he lives,,, i live    not with him...... i got my kids my dogs away from him........ igot bigger baddder dogs...to this day when i get stressed my mind goes to those days ,my dead dog tells me to carry on ,we will be together soon... and  she will.... my dobbie muffin will be waiting for me as she will be waiting for her killer......... i have no tolerance for men like gslover123 as i have lived through that please all women.... get help keep safe please leave the abuse behind dust your self off and move on......or chewpacken to the offender

The link between animal abuse and violence against humans is increasingly recognized by mental health professionals, social service workers, parents, teachers, law enforcement, and the criminal justice system.  If the guy can't "play nice" with the wife & kid the dog is probably not safe either.  IMO she needs to go fast, go far and go for good.  No good can come of this current situation.  This is an unfortunate topic but a very real one for way too may people.
