My groomer's standard price for shaving down a large dog (the size of a golden) is $100. You want it for less, you go somewhere else. And if the dog is badly matted and has a nasty temperament, that will be at least an extra $20!! 
Dragonfry, the things I am tempted to put down on the registration form when one of those little beasts is coming in...
I've made up my own term for those generic white, fluffy mutts of mixed ancestry. If the owner isn't sure, or doesn't tell me what the dog is, I write down 'multipoo'!

Another one is... " I have a Golden Lab".... I beg to differ! It is a YELLOW LAB...
When someone signs up for one of my training class as says they have a Goldendoodle or labradoodle. I write down Lab/poodle or Golden/poodle. Same thing with those other designer breeds.
