I can't stop myself from mentioning that I babysay David Robinson's son, David, while Mr. Robinson was getting a haircut and him and his wife bought me a gift the next day.  The day after that I brought some comic books for his children (they were comic books about black people in history, and were true stories about famouse black people and are kind of rare).  HIm and his wife then gave me their phone number and said if I was ever in San Antonio, to give them a call.  I never did.  Robinson had been in the Navy and so had I and we talked about that for a little while.  Additionally, Drew Carey bought me breakfast one morning in the hotel restaurant when I went over to his table (he was alone) to ask for his autograph.  He told me to sit and have breakfast with him (I was in uniform and declined but he insisted and said if I caught any crap about it, he would handle it)

I also met Jimmy Schmitz the actor, who was there with his son and he was telling me that every year that his son gets good grades in school, he takes him to that years NBA All Star game as a reqard.  He said, so far it's working.  I also had a sort of run in with Patrick Ewing who is the biggest jerk you ever met.  And another with an actress named Moisha, although I think that she uses another name.  She tried to get on an elevator without a hotel key card and I refused to let her get on the elevator, and she stepped around me onto the elevator and I picked her up around her waist and removed her from the elevator.  A big guy then walked up and said who she was and that he was her bodyguard and that he had a hotel key card and was that alright and I said yes.  I also asked Dikemba Mutombo for his autograph and he signed a card for me, then when I read it, the last name was Mutombo but the first name wasn't.  I asked him about it and he said, "Oh, you want my brothers signature".  It was funny and I saw the two of them together later and they look just alike.

Like I said, I could go on and on.  It was one hell of a week.  Many athletes and movie stars.  Some are really weird.

My memory kicked in.  The other NBA players on that elevator were Terell Brandon and Steve Kerr.  Also, that Moisha girl is called Brandy.

I also met Bill Murray and he is "different".  Nothing like the happy go lucky, fun guy he plays in movies.  He is either a little austitic or was on drugs.
