by Superdog on 09 November 2008 - 22:11

Good Evening  Everyone

I will be printing the report which has now been received, kind permission to do this has been given by  Dr Paris Basru.

Sorry I have been delayed in replying but have been at Discover Dogs on the GSD stand . Thank goodness there has been  not a lot of upset from  the programme recently screened by  BBC TV on  badly constructed  animals etc.

Bare with me and you can have the report   soon.

Superdog.

Brady Lee,

I believe the term ‘misdiagnosed’ is being used in its broadest, most diplomatic sense.

Bazza,

I think Mr. Payne would be the first to agree that a world bereft of humor is a poor one indeed.

Who here knows anything about patents? Companies selling product prior to patent approval usually resort to a public ‘patent pending’ notification (and fined where used falsely), if only to warn off any potential competitors. Can anyone recall Dogenes Inc doing so? The JRD test must have been on sale now for anything going on three years. A Canadian inventor interested in international coverage normally applies first for patent approval in the US. Patents are apparently granted to the inventor only – how does one assign such rights to a corporation prior to official endorsement – any takers? Then, why apply for a patent at all, and thereby reveal DNA test details to competitors when latter thus far seem quite unable to duplicate it anyway. Is there some way of verifying patent application lodgment? By way of an official serial number or suchlike? Hopefully Mr. Payne will shed some light.
