Sue-Ann: "i'd be happy to own either of these fine animals".

Make your check payable to Misty Ridge in the amount of $27,000.00 and you can have them both.

The issue is that neither of the dogs has done anything to merit such premium pricing, their pedigrees are mediocre at best, that they're just broker dogs truly just sitting in a kennel waiting for an ignorant buyer to appear.

They posters on the thread represent legitimate breeders, exhibitors, competitors, and importers - so they clearly know fair market value on the two.

Here's a photo of the director of sales at the kennel:

YOU must be MAD to even think of paying that price,

They are in my opinion not worth one eighth of the price asked,

All i can say about you is just for considering buying one is YOU must have fell out of the CHRISTMAS TREE and hurt your head

You right Sue-Ann that pic looks much better Ben is a good looking dog, it's funny that no one notice the distortion, but you have to agree that it was a pain to look at the original photo lol :) I don't thnk any one wanted to look at it for too long. :) But still the price is outrages :)

You shouldnt have to pay more than $1000 for a very nice pup out of great lines....especially if you dont plan on working it.

If you want an older dog you can one for very cheap....just paying a small adoption fee for spaying or neuter.   There are many dogs out there that didnt have what it takes to do sport or work and the owners are looking for good homes.

Some older dogs or "green dogs" can cost more than the pup.....but they have what it takes to do sport or work and are for people who want to train their own dogs but not wait to see if a puppy pans out......if you are looking for a family pet you wont need one of these.

Snaiper69: Go back and read  my posts..Excuse me , but   wuzzup saw it first. , and I went and  looked at the pic finally , to see what she meant , as I like my own evalutation , not someone elses.

What did I say???  Where did the rest of his abdomen go? What do you think that meant. Distortion is the best. I dont do photoshop. I do not try to figure out what a 12,000.00 or a 15,000 .00 dog has wrong with a very funny looking body.   Wuzzup kept saying  go look , yr,,at his body..He is missing something, so yes a few of us saw it..

Thanks to Sue-Ann , they do look better.  But ,now , who put that pic on the site,??  Why did not the person selling this excellent dog so well priced, not take a look at what they expected us to see?   Guess they dont know any more about picture submitting than I do.

I am not shooting bullets at you , but some of us did notice . ..His body was so distorted I said it hurt to look at 4 foot legs and a 2 foot body..that I needed an aspirin.

Marketing a dog is all about how you present the dog in the first place., and second you very well better have the paperwork to back up your claims and a health record to boot.

Can I jump on the bandwagon too?  I saw it last night too, I just didn't post.  But to me both the dog *and* the human looked like their legs had been stretched to ridiculously tall and skinny proportions.  But I didn't wanna say that in case I was wrong and the guy really did have freaky-skinny legs.

NO, I don't think the ridiculous prices are a misprint. I am forever astounded at what some people in the East are getting for dogs like that on a regular basis.

I have a theory- The fancier the residence, the prettier the buildings, the nicer the landscaping, the more luxurious the vehicles in the driveway... the more expensive the dogs. Somebody has to pay for all that stuff.

BTW: I'm pretty sure I can import at least 4-5 dogs just like them for the list price of ONE of those..Even cheaper by the dozen!
