I watched the video, and my eyes teared up when I saw the poor dog. I am stunned that someone could do this to a dog. How do you chain a dog to a post or a tree, and starve him, and look him in the eye, day after day, while his body feeds on itself? How could they stand it?
A bullet to the head, turn the dog loose and let someone pick it up, even drive it to the shelter and dump it, any of those would have been better options than what the owner did...
And he looks so much like Oakley, sounds so much like Oakley, that it was particularly disturbing to see the video...I just wanted to cry. Absolutely horrific, and it turns my stomach to even think of the pain and suffering this poor boy has had to endure.
Thank God for decent people who actually step in and do something. I hate nosey people, but sometimes, it's a good thing.
I hope that Courage recovers, and from what I saw of the video, sounds like he's well on his way to recovery. I hope he finds a good home after all this. He deserves it.

I am so sure tht this boy will live up to his name.. Courage. He will and has to get through. I hope he gets all the love and care he deserves. Poor soul Must have loved his owners unconditionally and this is what they gave him in return.
Everytime i try and put faith in our kind..i get slapped with something like this.
Don't know why the animal "EVERYTIME" has to bear the brunt for us humans.

Like I said, he looks disturbingly like Oakley...Breaks my heart to see the pics and video..>There are really people out there who do this to their dogs, their cats, even their kids and elderly family members..
"Shame on you" is way, way too nice for the person who could do this to another creature.

Here is a wonderful video of Courage, and he's got plenty to say! Get the tissue before watching the video...

Bob,
I insist that I be there to supervise. I'm just not sure you are "woman" enough to do the job. You know, there is nothing more vicious than a bitch who is pissed off. I just want to make sure you can do a proper job...and you need much more than 5 minutes...trust me on that one...it needs to last a loooong, loooong time.
