Oh, my--maybe Shepherd Woman can get some paid Dyson ads on her new site!

LP,

If you know any reputable breeders who are selling HUGE, LC GSD's for 1,000 dollars apiece would you please post their websites on this forum? I'll take a yard full of them. The neighbors look at them the same way you guys would if a fifty or a hundred Hell's Angels rode into your little piece of heaven. You couldn't stand it, but you'd keep your mouths shut until they were well out of sight. No one ever says anything negative when I waltz by with my two LC beauts. And they keep their politically correct precious pups close to their skirts unitl we vacate the area. I'm all for sound breeding and consistent training. But it still takes a confident owner to raise a confident dog. Alpha begets alpha.

At the present time, I know of no breeders having LC pups. My friends are very conscientious and don't do assembly-line GSD breeding. They know that the market is already glutted with pups.

Now, I'm aware of several breeders who undoubtedly have LC's--but don't feel comfortable referring you to them. Check back with me in 2-3 months..

My breeder sold the LCs for almost half price. $800 vs $1500. Yes they were the first to go.

As far as being pm'd to join the LC forum that is not true. I have been looking for more LC owners for a while. I saw the post here and was very happy to find it.

People love my LC and I get sooo many comments about him. They frequently think he is a Belgian Shepherd then I explain about the recessive trait.

I have had people stop their cars on the street and ask about him. Yes LC is mainly cosmetic but people seem to love it. They are not aware of the serious fault my dog has and really think it crazy when I explain it to them.

I plan to do better than a Dyson--- tile floors!! That'll do it!! Then, I can just Swiffer. That would be soooo nice. . LOL Max: Being alpha to makes the dog it an alpha? Please. Get real. If the dog is a sniffling POS, all the alpha handler in the world is not going to make the dog an alpha. Geesh, that sounds like some mess Vick and his pit-fighting cronies would say.

Please re-read my post: The SL folks that I know and truly respect sell their NC's for ~$1500 and LC's for ~$1000

Yes, they have been known to sell LC's for $800--which is both reasonable and fair.

As for folks who charge what the market can bear ($2500-3500) for LC's, I sure as hell hope that they have a written guarantee for health and for OFA hip/elbow certification at 2 years.

Louise

I was just giving an example of pricing.

When, I first started breeding GSD's, LC's sold for $50--NC's for $125-200.

by davegaston on 02 January 2008 - 04:01

Yes and we only had 3 channels on TV, no internet and gas was 29 cents a gallon. Since gas is $2.90 a gallon now that 10 times increase for GSDs and gas match pretty close.

Sorry for the Sarcasm it just seemed to fit.

Until the SV changes it's rules, a longcoat is a fault regardless of how anyone feels about them personally.
