A Well-Balanced Dog has Titles at Both Ends.........

Precisely, Deejay. Even my bitch that I can't breed due to her hip rating has multiple VP1 ratings (before i knew) and titles in AKC obedience and rally. Just because I can't breed her doesn't mean she can't be a representative of the breed!

And if the dogs are built too poorly to jump, they can at least get a CD, can't they? Or a TD? Or a RN? I'm a firm believer in this in ALL working breeds, not just the GSD. Eventually I want a little min-pin for obedience, and you know what? Buying from parents titled in obedience or agility will be much more important to me than a championship.

I'm pretty sure there are more than a few AKC champion GSD's with titles on both ends. Winnie Strickland's champions were usually, maybe always OB titled, most with UD's. She's certainly not the only AKC breeder who shows GSD's to advanced OB and agility degrees.

Multiple High in Utility Class, HIT, OTCH, CH, V Kassie Vom Canisphere, SCH 2, RA(Caro), RA(CKC), TT, CGN,OVC H & E. And recieved her breed survey at 9 years of age. Kkl1. Go and take any American shepherd and do this. I say it can't be done.

OH I almost forgot..AM GSD can do nothing.in fact they are nothing since they don't have that SCH degree..

Cause we have to remember that only schutzhund is important to a GSD..the rest is not..Herding..Not..Blind dog..NOT search and rescue..NOT.a championship..NOT..Therapy Dog..NOt.

Let's just burn them all and stop talking about it LOL

Not yet, wait!! LOL! I hope this is OK to post this link. I remembered this dog was "mostly" American from years back and was able to find this page on him. He really was a great dog IMO, even though he had bad hips.... maybe not quite all the same credentials as the one you posted realcold, but a good dog. http://home.mcn.net/~lodestar/ryker.htm

July90. You have the Nationals in your backyard in 2 weeks. Put your dogs in or shut up. The above dog is a Ch. and UD with her Sch degrees picked  up along the way. Recreationaly you could say. Dog had fun all the way. Good dog. I could look forever in NA and not find an ASS that could do it. Of course with your knowledge and handling abilities you could do it if you would push your fat butt away from the computer, walk past the fridge, pick up a leash and just do it.

Hey realcold, for one I don't have a fat butt! For two, been outside dragging hose and rainbirds around half the day and fixin' spikets that were broke so I could turn water on in my fields tonight. For 3 after that I fenced in around my porch so my old dog will quit going under there and getting full of dust to bring in the house. I also cleaned the dam joint before all that so figure I deserve some R&R on the 'puter. Oh yeah and they got their mile walk somewhere in all that. I also currently don't have a dog to get ready for the Nationals. I haven't been into schutzhund since 1996... and I  have only one dog with a tinie, weinie bit of Am. lines in him. And guess what I did get off my butt this spring after all those years off and put a CD on him, not much but I am proud of us anyway. At least I did something.....oops, just noticed that wasn't even directed to me... o well guess it don't hurt to say anyway.

<edit> Yikes 2 weeks!!! I don't think anyone could be ready for even a BH in 2 weeks unless their dog alraedy had some obedience on it, never mind a SchH title!
