What a trooper this little guy is.I am so glad he is slowly bouncing back. After all that happened to him  you can see clearly that he is still loving .You would think a dog starved like that would not let you get any where near that food bowl once you put it down but he clearly demonstrates that typical GSD temperment.I wish they could give him a big meal all at once but I know that can litterly be deadly.Cant wait to see this dog all better and on his way to a WONDERFULL FOREVER HOME where he will get to see that we are not  all  bad.Good luck COURAGE,may you have a long healthy life and may those UGLY memories leave your mind FOREVER.

Without any doubt, Courage would still wag his tail if he saw the culprit who starved him.  That's why it is so easy to have contempt for these utter disgraceful and worthless beings.  From the last update they were going to examine his internal organs like the liver and kidneys to have the all clear.  Fingers crossed that Courage will indeed have a full recovery.

If you can't respect an animal don ever keep one PERIOD!!... So much of love to give and see what happens. I wish i was there with this boy when things were going bad, I dont know what to write anymore.  Courage will come through this. I know it i feel it in ma heart he will.

You are the bestest Courage. Fight and Live a wonderful life.

I hope Courage is placed with someone who will use him as a therapy dog.  His story could inspire those who have been abused and have no hope.  Courage is proof that love conquers all.  What a brave, sweet dog.  All he wants to do is spread love and be loved.  Come on Courage, heal and be well and continue inspiring others.  Good boy, Courage, good boy!

You would be amazed what 5 minutes with the proper motivation can do to a persons out look on life...and the lasting effects.

He was not chained to a tree, as first reported.  He was kept in an airline kennel in the garage, UGH.  Sound familiar?

""The only thing he had to eat was dirt," Grant told KTLA."
