Steve, great observation, but what's that got to do with the topic?

THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED WHILE THE DOGS WERE OWNED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

Am I a backyard breeder because I bought a pup I had bred back along with her "oops" puppies? 

I thought the topic was is it wrong or right to breed underaged, non-health clearanced dogs?  The OP said he saw this happening more and more often?

If so, I would imagine that Steve, like myself, was talking about the minimum he feels  breeders should do as a rule.  Obviously this particular breeding was out of the control of this breeder.  We all know that "oops" litters happen, that's a fact of life.   We also know there is a practice where some breeders will breed a test litter, that is also a fact of life. 

For me, it is also obvious that breed surveys and titles don't automatically mean I am going to buy a dog from any particular litter, but it is a jumping off spot, the beginning place, the bare minimum, at least as far as I'm concerned.  There are so many breeders trying to do things right, and breeding great litters, why bother with those who aren't?  It's not like they are breeding any great shakes, look at track records, track records say a lot.  Goes back to stacking the deck in my favor.

That is not what i am referring to at all, i am commenting on some who are not fussy about doing Joint or health Certs with Dogs of any age before breeding from them but they think it okay to breed from there dogs anyway, As one put it there own preference But thats a easy COP out.

This thread is giving me a headache. The thread was started by a multiple name to stir you guys up and now the multiple is sitting back laughing at this mess.

Again, the question is about breeding underaged dogs with no certs or titles. The topic is not so some can leave snide remarks about others.

I am always looking for a specific kind of dog, a dog I can compete with in sport.  So of course, dogs bred for that purpose are important to me, and breeders who are looking to place dogs with people like me who are looking for dogs for sport also like sport and therefore they title and compete with their dogs, it goes hand in hand.

As far as breeders who don't title their dogs, that's on them, not my problem, I can walk away with no comment, for the most part.  The part where I can't keep my mouth shut is when it comes to those so called breeders who try and sell their puppies as excellent for "top level grip sport",  show, herding, SAR, you name it, the whole kit and kaboodle, when in fact THEY DON'T DO SHIT WITH THEIR OWN DOGS, AND ARE TALKING OUT OF THEIR ASSES BECAUSE THEY ARE CLULESS ABOUT WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE A GOOD SPORT (OR WHATEVER) DOG. 

 I really can't stand those assholes.

I'm with you, Sue.  Go ahead and breed your untitled, unworked, unproven, untested, un health checked dogs - but don't spout on your website or internet forums that they are "top working prospects"  or whatever tall tales you (the breeder) tells about yourself or your dogs, having done nothing to actually work/train/title a dog yourself or from your own program.  Selling puppies because of their grandparents' accomplishments, not impressive at all.

All businesses are going to try and talk their products up, it is what businesses do.

When someone advertises best this or best that, the discerning person knows better and walks away.

I've not sold a pup in three years.  Only once did I ever breed two untitled no certs dogs, in an incredibly unlikely "oops litter" about two years ago.  This resulted in three only (thank god) pups from their underage mother, none of which were ever sold.

Now, I'm planning to repeat that breeding, because I want a male from it.  The mother's attained a couple herding titles since, but no health certs.  So this time I'll be INTENTIONALLY breeding untitled no cert (no longer underage) dogs.  I'm gonna make so much $$$$$$$ on it, I might not have to work for a living, like other breeders millers.

Not only that, I'm going to conduct an inbreeding of father to daughter!  I'm going to INBREED on untitled no health certified dogs, and I know I'm makin' ya jealous :-)

No, I'm definitely not about the money... and it's not difficult to see through all your fluff, either.
