You're wrong actually. My grandmother thinks I am about that age...but she is wrong too.
And what I was saying is speculating that a person isnt their age because they dont sound their age is what is silly. (the 'hmmmm' is what I was using as that specualtion....I probably should have said : 'she sounds older so she must be pretending to be a kid, hmmmm')

There have been a number of times I thought Cate sounded wise beyond her years, but also a couple of times I also chalked up comments to youth! (the "rebel" discussion a while back)

Who me? Baaaah :p
LOL - I dont think I ever really sound my age - I spend some time spending older, and alot of time sounding alot younger...but there is some joy to be had in remaining young in some aspects :p I'm going to go back to digging the marshmellows out of my Lucky Charms cereal bag now :p
I will agree that no matter the age it is wrong to mis-represent what you have or are doing - but I also dont think that was a lesson I really learned until High School when I realized that the lying (about my grades mostly) wasnt worth the loss of trust - I think people come to that at different ages.
Though again - I think alot of what is going on in this thread might be heresay - from both sides.
