you understand my concern now?  what is that supposed to mean?

Uber Land

my dogs are taken out into public, they are exposed to traffic, other dogs, other people. they are around gunfire, cattle, horses, goats.
I would not breed a nervous dog, one who can't go out into public.  I wouldn't breed a very dog aggressive or human aggressive animal.

I don't pump out litter after litter like alot of "reputable" kennels.

but being peoples minds are already made up, this will be my last post.

Not sure I've ever run across anyone who does so little and knows so much.

On Sch topics. an authority.

On S/L topics an authority.

An authority on W/L, Am. S/L, breeding, training, Sieger show placements, SAR, police work, the SV, the WDA, UScA.

Where else but cyber space can you find such an expert on so many things GSD, who has never achieved anything of note in any aspect of the dog.

JMHO,

I guess it's suppose to mean,

How did your litter of solid whites turn out?

Your breeding program is showlines to leerburg dogs to solid whites is all over the place.  What are you trying to produce, what's your goal?

I wanted to look further but the website is down.  Are you planning to put back up?

Your on a pedigree database created for people to study bloodlines and breeding etc.  Get Real Uber Land it's about the money!

I wasn't going to respond to anymore posts on this forum but being you have made more ASSumptions about me I will reply to your last post BGstout.

being you commented about the white litter, I know you were looking at an old website, one I put up 6 years ago and haven't updated in 5 years, I just haven't figured out how to delete it.

I received the white pair when a lady drove up into my driveway with them in the back of her truck.  someone told her that there was a lady in the neighborhood who rescued gsd and she drove around till she found my house since I had a couple in my front yard.  She asked if I would take them and try to find them homes, she was an older lady and had cancer.  instead of them going to the pound I took them.  the female had just went out of heat and she was bred already, 2 months later she whelped 10 pups, laid on 6 in the first couple nights.  she was a horrible mother.  I raised 4 of them.  even though the website says $400, I placed all 4 into homes for $100 adoption fee and then found homes for the mother and father.  so taking care of them and the litter for 4 months, I don't think the $400 total I got back on the pups was a big deal.

The Leerburg bitch you talk about was never bred, and she was spayed 2 yrs ago.  something went wrong with the spay and she is now completely blind at 5 yrs old, but I still own her.

I also own a VA Viernheimi Nick daughter who was severely abused the first 3 yrs of her life and she has never been bred.  I've had her 4 yrs now and she is 7 this Nov.

I did whelp a litter in Dec of 08 for another breeder, 3 pups were born and 1 was given to me as payment.  I sold her for $800.  $800 isn't much for whelping a litter, caring for the bitch and pups for another 9 weeks, and then keeping 2 out of 3 pups for 5 months till the breeder  was able to pick his up.

what are my goals? to produce healthy, good tempered dogs with balanced drives.  And I believe I have done this with the litters I have produced.

as for being in it for the money, all I can do is laugh at that comment.  I haven't bred a gsd of mine in 5 yrs.  last year I bred 2 schip litters, kept one,  gave one away and sold the others for $500.  other breeders with the same lines as my schips and also MSP3B tested dogs sell for $800+.   to not have any gsd litters and just 2 schip litters in 5 yrs, I must be rolling in the $$$

these are the litters I have produced:

A litter:
Sire V Baron v Lanzener Hof SCH3 IP3 kkl1a http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/119896.html
Dam: V Yska vd Bollermuhle SCH3 kkl1a lbz  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/71472.html
split litter in payment for mother.  I got 4 pups from litter of 11.  sold a female for $900 kept the pick male, sold the other 2 girls for $600 each.  paid an $800 stud fee so I might have made $1300 off pups without considering shots, wormer and food.

B litter:
Sire: Uhlan Leerburg TC, OFA G h/e http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/391400.html
Dam: Cinder http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/507679.html
7 pups, sold 2 for $350 the rest for $500.  Cinder had insatiable toy drive, and produced some of my best puppies. this is a son of hers and Odins(Uhlan) http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/507684.html he was one of the $350 puppies.

C litter:
Sire: Igor vd Bellinger Warte OFA G http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/133374.html
Dam: Cinder pedigree above
9 pups, sold them for $500 each and only 3 weren't fixed at 6 months old.

D litter:
Sire: Toby van Stiemen Ecke SCH3 IPO3 IWR3 http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/126260.html
Dam: V Yska vd Bollermuhle SCH3 kkl1a lbz see above for pedigree
unexpected litter, only 2 females.  1st female was traded for a male from Brycehaus kennel that I ended up giving away, Jim still has her though I don't think she has ever had a litter. 2nd female I kept, put down at 3 yrs due to sinus cancer.

E litter:
Sire: Toby van Stiemen Ecke SCH3 IPO3 IWR3 see above for pedigree
Dam: Cinder see above
6 pups, all have been fixed according to owners.

I have whelped 1 rescue litter, and 2 litters for other breeders. and I have only had 3 litters of schipperke the 6 years I have had them parents tested and cleared for MSP3B

you may find another website on the web assoc. with me, my mother bred shih tzu under the Overland prefix for 10 years.  there's 2 females left (Jezzi, 13 and Laci,7) you can find that site at www.freewebs.com/overlandkennels

I also dabbled in am. cockers for a couple years, but decided I didn't really like the breed and sold them. my male was sired by the top Ch. in Canada and my females also carried champion lines.  temperments were just too soft for me. I bought my schipperke after this.

I may or not breed my dogs at some point in the future.  If I do, it will be after they have had all adequate health tests.  I don't give a shit about titles.  They're fairly meaningless to me - sport titles don't mean a dog can work, and show titles don't mean a dog can work.  If I breed my dogs, it will be because I have decided it would be beneficial to do so.  Period.  So sue me, LOL!   Come to think of it, just from the folks that have told me they want a puppy if I ever breed my dogs together, it appears they're going to be in demand - and since i don't need the money, it won't bee to make money - I would probably give them away for the vet fees.

Ludemdogs
No, Titles you do not give a shit about, and that is you, So what you are saying between the lines is You do not need a dog with titles or anything else to breed from it as it means nothing and you may breed in the future depending on your whim at the time is not beneficial to the breed,
Well my Friend that nothing to you means that you consider several years of working one to one with a dog every day to get its titles and improve on them like a great many people do, and you are content to let your Dogs lay about in the back yard all day then breed from them so long as the Joints are okay if you feel like it, You say you do not need the money but will breed them for the Vets fees only
THEN , if this is it, WHY breed from the Dogs at all, for there is no need to breed from them, you may fool some but not this fellow with your silly remarks, For you are not what i call a responsible owner of the breed simply because of your attitude towards the Breeding aspect,
You never breed from anything unless you are trying to better the breed and your Dogs certainly will not better the breed by breeding from them, simply because of your attitude towards other owners of the breed who put a lot more effort into there dogs than you do to make sure that they come up to a standard of breeding, Why do you think they have these trials, it shows the Character of the Dog, It shows and brings out otherwise traits which could be unknown bad faults whilst under some pressure for instance aggression and that will come out under pressure, and in the word aggression there are different sorts of that, some you do not want to breed into the progeny or Pups so many factors which a working dog would not display in a normal back yard environment ,
Plus why do they need to go for these qualifications of KKL1 or 11. it is to show that are within the boundaries to breed as set out by the powers to be, i could go on
Of course you will sell or give away the Pups, there are a lot of people in this world who know nothing of the breed as a whole and seeing a little Pup will get them buying, or in your case possibly giving it to them
I have said my bit to you and you can reply until the Cows come home your writings above tells at least me, and possibly some of the Guys everything about you regarding Dogs, and this is certainly i will not get into a debate on it, for i cannot say more or less than i have done so in this post

I am very happy to see that this Topic i posted has a lot of Comments. But WOW I can believe how many carelesssss ppl their are in the German Shepherd Dog World. Ppl that dont Title, KkL or CH their dogs are very BLIND and what i call MONEY DIGGGGERS.

My friend called me today and told me that a Co.Worker wonted to give her pure bred GSD back to the Breeder. Well short story the breeder said NO!!! This makes me sick. First we got breeders that just breed because they love the breed ( but dont care about the importance of the breed ), and now breeders wont take their own dogs back =((((( WHATS that about??
