Steve you are too funny!  My husband said to tell you he has you beat by over 1 year!

Windwalker, you are just 5 years older than me and some of the rest of us gals (but I won't tell on them!)

It's actually nice to see such a wide range in ages.  It tells me that the breed is in good hands.  I too think this is a great thread.  Those of us who haven't bothered getting decent pictures of ourselves and our dogs should really make the effort.  I'm guilty of being behind the camera myself but next chance I get, I'm going to have someone take a pic of Paul, Echo and I.  Get over being camera shy.  Remember, it's what's on the inside that counts anyway!  You all are a great bunch of people and I'm glad to have met you on this site.

JRANSOM- it was a women's business owners meeting (I own a petsitting/dog walking/pet dog training company) I was able to bring him as part of my lecture about my business. We did a little obedience demo but what impressed them the most was when I got up to go to the salad bar, Manny stayed in a long down at my chair and did not budge. There were some women there who have been afraid of dogs their whole lives who were able to approach and even pet the "big scary" German Shepherd.  It was a fun meeting.

This is a nice thread, many who I assumed to be older (because of their knowledge), are actually young.  Unfortunately, I'm not among those, I'll be 53 next week.  But hey, it's better than the alternative!

I think we have a bit of an advantage nowadays with networking capabilities and direct access to great resources. Where as even 10-15 years ago it was much more difficult as the knowledge wasnt as readily accessable.

Plus without the ol timers we wouldnt have anyone that possessed the knowledge/experience to pass down which is so vital to us up and coming folks. We can only hope to continue to improve upon the breed as we set forth and one day will fill you guys shoes at the head of the table as we progress in years.

There aren't any good pictures of me, anywhere in existence, so this will have to do.
