Don Corleone

When did I even mention gsds?

OK Don -- We just keep going in circles.    PEACE

by CopDogs on 16 February 2011 - 21:02

Which is what show dogs do they gait in a big circle. Not just the American line Shepherd look what the American show* has don't to the other working breeds, It is really a shame and I feel the biggest shame is that people can get on here and defend what has been done to the dogs....Off to training , no snow and in the 50's we will have fun under the lights tonight the dogs will love it

It's a waste of time trying to point out to show people how they screw the breed, because all they do is defend their positions with  lame ass excuses.  It's true, most people don't want a GSD, they just want a dog that looks like one. Most people aren't active enough or can't be bothered to put the time in required to train a working dog.  The bigger problem is these weak examples are everywhere and most people believe that's what a GSD should be.

The reason there isn't a lot of opposition to the bashing of S/L's is because the people who breed and own them know what is being said is true. Who ever commented on the Malinois is a perfect example, who f**king cares what the head looks like, can the dog work? How long until these retards ruin that breed?

Sport dog people and Working dog people represent a small percentage within the population.   The fact is that MOST people do not want "Working Line" dogs for various reasons.   Regarding your statement of "not much opposition" .... it is useless to talk about it, because it has been hashed and re-hashed so many times on this Forum.   You either love GSD's or you don't.   They are not a "POS or a Shitter or Worthless" or whatever else "some" people call them.   They are not -- I should say SHOULD NOT be viewed and used as a commodity to be exchanged / sold / dumped when they don't live up to the expectations of their owner.   Poor dogs.   They give unconditional love.   Not always so with humans.

Let's just call S/L or W/L ownership a Personal Preference and let it go.

Yeah, anyone who for whatever reason would dare to rehome their precious little furbaby must be an awful person and will rot in hell for doing such  a mean  thing to their itto baby doggie.  Why little furbaby will be scarred for life.  MUCH better to park them in a cage in your back yard til hell freezes over.  Poor little furbabies.

Sue you would never understand.   Cold-hearted people just "don't get it."

It's sad that there's two entirely different breeds of dogs with the same name isn't it?

MaggieMae

Yes it is a shame.  That is why I was very shocked when I first came on this Board and read the things that some people said about the S/L.   It angered and sickened me.
