Thanks everyone for their help. If the general concensus is that neutering will do ABSOLUTELY nothing to even tone down some of the aggression, then  I will have to  get rid of one of the males plain and simple, because I strongly feel you just cant keep them separated 24/7 in the same household. It's just not possible, feasible or even desirable(at least in my mind). So I suppose maybe I will just need to look for a home for one of the males(shame but I guess that's life!). It's just a question of which one as we have bonded with the newcomer as well!!?

Thanks again for all the help.

just for the record........we currently have 7 dogs; 6 are gsds.  we know who gets along and who doesn't, and plan everything accordingly.  we make use of the kennels and crates to keep things on an even keel.  4 males and 3 females, but in truth, its the females that cause the most problem.  we have 2 bitches who would literally fight to the death if given the chance.  it just won't happen because we won't let it happen.  they go to training, on outtings and walks but there is no contact.  i have said before in other threads, "obedience is the way to control aggression."  it won't get rid of it, but at least you'll have a handle on it.  please keep safety foremost in your mind.  working with dogs and horses isn't really so different; they are both capable of extreme violence.  plan ahead and never put yourself or your animals at risk.
