Hello fellow GSD lovers, Good day to all. I would like to seek your help on how to design my dogs quarters here in the Philippines considering our hot climate here? How big should the kennel be and what is the best flooring I should use? Are plastic floorings better than wood floorings? Should I set up my dogrun separate from the quarters or set it up in front of their quarters? I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

It depends greatly on the space you have available. For one dog you shoud have kennel of 2 x 3 meters if it's possible Having in mind hot climate you should provide a lot of shade and maybe consider that you make concrete flooring, easier to wash. Dog house with flat roof , they like to be on elevated position. Dog run, the easiest thing is if its in front of the quarters and long enough. Also some space where they can be all together to play. For females you should have separate whelping area a bit away from others. I hope that this can help.
