I agree with desensitizing the puppy but thereis also a new drug on the market that is supposed to be great for carsickness. If I remember correctly I believe itis called Cerenium, I could be wrong on the spelling. It is supposed to be the most effective anti-emetic and it also lasts for 24 hours so if you know you are going for a ride in the am you can give it the night before. I believe you can only get it from your vet.

I know this is a little off the topic, but funnily enough, I have never had a puppy with car sickness from a bitch that travelled right up until the birth. I have had pups that have had dreadful car sickness from bitches that rarely got to go out in the car and certainly not once they were pregnant.

So now I'll make a point to make sure that my pregnant bitches always travel in the car, even if it is just to go for a ride, right up until the day they give birth.

Apart from car sick puppies, it keeps the poor pregnant one happy too!
