I please need some advise on how to prevent sores on my dogs elbows. Some say lay carpet in the crate- some say carpet causes the burn. What should I do?

Hi Tata, I have found that vitamin E works very well. Break open the capsule and rub the vit. E into the sore daily until it is gone. It usually takes about a week to two weeks. Also keep them off hard surfaces like concrete. Hope this helps you.

Garry, Here is one even better. If you have a GNC "General Nutrition Center" near you get a tube of the vitamin E ointment. I use it for all my animals and me too and it's usually around a dollar for a pretty good size tube. Leo

Prevention is probably the best. kennel floors made of concrete, stone dust cause them. Dirt, wood, small rocks prevent them.
