DS Lady:   WHY did you  decide to dig up this four year old thread, IF you wanted to squelch misinformation.  The thread was dead and in the ground moldering for YEARS, until you DUG IT UP, so that the misinformed (according to you) would now read it!!   Does the term "stirring up >>>" seem applicable?

She might have done a google search and this might have been one of the first links to come up and she may have posted without looking at the date.  I didnt until I had almost replied.

Cut her some slack and dont jump down her throat without maybe thinking about other possibilities - this happens on other forums all the time...people do a search, bring up a thread, and reply without realizing it has been dead for ages.

DS Lady

First time I hear from you that FCI allows crossing of two breeds. Can you get pedigree for pups? Now, dont get me wrong please, I am not saying its not true but I find it hard to believe knowing FCI and its stands regarding breed mixing.

And yes, people have mixed GSD and Mals, Mals sad Dutchies, you name it they have mixed it - in order to ever increase working abilities. What did they get - well, that is another story, there are  two sides of the coin. All these croses, as far as I know cannot have pedigrees with FCI logo on it.  For the KPNV it is realy not important to have the FCI pedigree, they want a dog that works.

I find the opening question ridiculous:

I hope the person posing this question has not already done this or is contemplating, the last thing the working dog world needs is more breeed crossing by people of lacked experience.

If we were better trainers and spent more time learning from our dogs instead of contemplating godship by arbitraraley cross breeds for the "flavor of the month" or play build a bear store with dogs and spent our time learning to motivate our dogs properly we would spend less time thinging what if i crossed a alligator with a dingo?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????.

Why get upset about my post?  I was searching for Rudie Pegge's pedigree via google and the link to this topic popped up... I even admonished myself for being a dork when, AFTER I posted a reply, I noticed how old the thread was.

Some FCI countries will allow an unregistered Dutchie to become registered through them...most unregistered Dutchies have at least some malinois in them.

A Mechelse Herder is a Belgian Malinois
