Oli, this is an excellent forum, thank you.  I agree with some form of moderation  Why don't we in invent another "dog breed" like the bull dog crossed with the shitzu board for OT posters...so people that want to post OT political, religious, or slanderous posts can go to that area of the PDB and not post on the GSD board.  Most of the garbage on this board is the OT posts started by a select few.  I would love to see the GSD board about some pertinent canine topics like training, behavior, trials, shows, nutrition, handling tips, etc.  This would probably limit most of the problems.  There are other GSD forums that don't allow all of the inflamatory posts and people seem to get along quite well there.  But then again they are moderated.

JMO FWIW,

Jim

wow, old thread and I remember the IP address being attempted.   And yes, mine had come up the same as some others with AOL addresses.

Dare I say, it's been a bit better of late.   But, I'm sure that won't last!

To All Posters
I for one do not understand Computers very well nor do i really understand some functions on a Forum,
What i believe in is using your right name and not hiding behind a pen name, I put mine as Steve 1 simply because i added the 1 in case another Steve was posting when i joined,
but i always finish my posts with my nreal name which is Steve
I have nothing to hide so why should anyone else, Plus a lot of these pen names are long and mean nothing when you are posting to that person
the rule should be, that  everyone use there correct name,
Put on the top to whom they are posting to, then sign the end with there own name,
You see too many posts without a start or end and it finishes up a total mess
However the Owner of this site has done an excellent job on behalf of us forum users, and a helpful one in the pedigree site so many congratulations to him for doing so
Steve
