Wonderful!  I've ordered mine!

Sorry, I'll stick with the Olympics rather than commercializing what was meant to be an amateur sport and making it a money making enterprise. Money? For whom? The promoters? Is the revenue from DVD sales going to be shared with the participants?

How about the efforts of the photographers--expecially, the second-string photographers--the gals from Outkast photography. These two women are amongst the best 2 dog-sport photographers out there and have no stigma from shady dealings and negative press. In all fairness, they surely deserve some of the proceeds from the DVD sales--JMHO.

Yes, I'm mentioning unpopular concerns that many of us are disussing in private.

Hi Louise,

thank you for your kind words about our photography!  We greatly appreciate your compliment :)

We appreciate your concern for our profit and well-being but I would like to step in and stress that we are extremely pleased with the opportunity that Carlos gaves us and our arrangement with him.

Sincerely,

Julia

I Had the pleasure of attending the event from practice on Thursday / Tracking on Friday all the way in Philadelphia, very long drive / Saturday and Sunday in the hottest day that i can think of. I was in my game all the way, watching the best of the best   RAISER  JABINA  FLOYD   Competitors from around the world @ what they do best. No National Championship that i attended personally can come close to what this tournament demonstrated, the only thing that went wrong was the weather and Mr. Carlos Rojas tried to change that but was not succesful,he told me that himself { joke } I have many of the competitors autographs which i was happy to get and they all were happy to do that. My girlfriend did some videos on and off. I have already placed my order on a DVD To see that someone would have a negative comment about how they do business makes me sick.

Louise,

It's simple really, if you don't like it, don't buy it.  When you invest YOUR own energy, time & money into a top notch event, then you can do as you see fit with the proceeds.  When you compare the price of the DVD to the likes of Family Treasure's packages, its more than fair, especially when it includes all of the B & C routines of the top notch participants .  And BTW, the Olympics is mostly made up of  "amature" atheletes, and the majority of them are not making a dime.  Stick to your show dogs Penery;)

One point: amateur athletics does not equal free. Lots of Olympians make big $ from their sport in commercials and endorsements for everything from sneakers to salad dressing. ...everyone but that trashy Tanya, anyway. :-)

Dear Friends & Supporters of the 2008 Masters World Dog Sport Tournament Thank you so much for your support of this monumental event!! The response to the 2008 Masters Tournament exceeded my expectations. The positive feedback I received at the venue from the competitors, judges, helpers, spectators and members of the press was only the tip of the iceberg Thanks to you and our efforts, Dog Sports has been “professionalized!!” Again, I ask you and the world, “Why not??!!” So great is the interest in the Masters, that not only did the website crash because of the inordinate amount of hits on the page, but the service provider informed us that we would be dropped immediately because our usage exceeded the bandwidth to the point that their other customers’ websites could not function properly. Fortunately, we were able to procure a substitute service provider within a day. Before I share my thoughts on future events, I would like to once again thank all of you for your support and interest in the Masters. The competitors showed up to show their skills and competed in a most sportsmanlike manner. Ray Carlisle, my partner in this endeavor, has been tremendous in his support and leadership. Ai, my wife, utilized all the knowledge and experience she has accumulated over the years helping me with local and national trials, to rise to the occasion. Our judges for this event, Pierre, Doug and Joe, by their individual efforts, showed the true value of Olympic style judging. The helpers braved the oppressive heat and tested the mettle of the dogs to the delight of the crowd. Our track layers selflessly and skillfully laid world-class tracks and many of my great friends and club members carried out the tasks that go unnoticed but will always be appreciated and never forgotten. Our commercial sponsors truly supported our efforts evincing more of a philanthropic attitude than a demanding ROI-commercial one. In the end, though, I would like to believe that their good intentions were also rewarded with newly-found name recognition and customers. Thank you to all! Now, let us talk about the future. In November of this year, Dog Sport Enterprises will host its next event! The Players 2008 will offer a $20,000 cash prize to the winner. This event will be an All Breed International Tournament open to anyone that has an IPO 3 and has earned a score of 270 points or better within one year to date of the event. Once again, we will offer the world the opportunity to see Top Level Competitors financially rewarded for their efforts. Proffesional Dog Sports WHY NOT!!?! This event will be judged in an Olympic -Style manner by three judges and will be held in New Jersey. Please check back frequently as we cordinate the details of The Players 2008 Dog Sport Tournament. Contact Information Principal Promoter Carlos Rojas Dog Sport Enterprise, LLC (DSE) P.O. Keep the concepts going.  I don't see anything wrong with making this a sport with professional events held.  So many of the handlers are professioanl trainers and handlers so why not recognize them>  Most horse shows have sections for amateurs and other sections open to all,

I look forward to reading more about the next event as it develops.  And I'm really looking forward to receiving my DVD.
