I see both threads concerning the puppy with the socks has disappeared into cyber-space over night. Unfortunately the issues described therein definitely have NOT. They have, in fact, multiplied geometrically, largely thanks to advice rendered from very knowlegeable professionals and lay-people on this amazing board.

I want to convey the thanks of the victims to you all on their behalf, QUICKLY, before THIS thread vanishes as well. LOL

This thing with Kennel Gold-Berg coloring paws with chemicals is not going to get buried, regardless. It is no different than the atrocities perpetrated by a man back east who was starving clients dogs, having a dog die in his care, breaking contracts etc. It is about time when people are unethical that they pay the piper.

Brady, the victim in the documented case of the socks scam, has also emailed to tell me he could not log in. I hope that is a mistake, because otherwise, this board has no credibility at all anymore.

Time for a "Socks" Fan Club website perhaps. I wonder if I will be next to be blocked at log in.

I'd miss you guys.

All it takes is for one complaint to Oli regarding a violation of the TOS and the entire thread goes down the shitter. I can think of 3 or 4 people who may have registered such a complaint knowing the thread would be taken down. I own a very active breed board and on more than one occasion I  have been threatened with a lawsuit if I didn't delete specific posts. There was no libel, everything stated was true as was the Driggs thread evidentally, so a lawsuit would most like have not been sustained in court. However, I still would have had to pay an attorney to defend against it so it was just easier to delete it and move on.

Next time Driggs or some other unethical breeder cheats someone, it might be more prudent to just say something like - "Anyone thinking about buying a dog from so and so can PM me for my opinion" and take it private.  Also use Ripoff report and refer to that link on this board. The truth is the truth, never libel or slander even in this sue-crazed country.

I've said this a mllion times - if GSD puppies were selling for $500 or less there would not be half the breeders or nearly as many GSD's sitting in rescue longing for a forever home. Breeders had better wake up form their comas and stop breeding so damned many GSD's.

Guess I'd better keep an eye on the driveway for a process server, huh? Next thing I know someone will show up with a court order to seize my '97 Aerostar with broken axle, 20 yr. old dog trailer seriously in need of complete renovation,  a few gray dogs (I don't own Jed) and my flatbed trailer piled so high with heavy plywood that the jack broke off over the summer. The house & property is the sole individual property of my husband, possession pre-dating our marraige for some 25-30 yrs., not eligible for attachment due to judgements against me according to PA state laws I'm told... Never came up till now, but as I think about it, suing poor-but-honest lil ole me for anything would be a waste of time and effort right now. LOL

Hope the process server has 4WD. I am not walking 1,000' down the hill to the street just to be handed a summons. Ha ha ha.

The trouble-making, troll, PJ Carlson, has to be behind this.

Oli mentioned that he does have a several people (besides himself) attempting to moderate this site.

by Dogmom2004 on 17 February 2008 - 17:02

Oli needs to read up on the laws of slander/liebel.  There was none on that thread.  The man had court papers to prove the truth.  Her lawyer should tell her-maam if its true it aint slander!!.  If she tried to sue for it it won't get very far.  The truth hurts.

But speaking of dying dogs.  I think they need to test hair at the big shows.  Especially with someone  who has been proven to dye her dogs.

by JudyK on 17 February 2008 - 17:02

If Oli has moderators then someone needs to tip him off about what is going on.  I don't recall threads being pulled and people blocked when Oli was in charge without moderators.  Maybe if enough people email Oli he'll look into it.

I am pretty careful what I post on a public forum. I do know for a fact that a lot more attention will be paid to "Sportsman-like" conduct in shows from now on, by organization official, event secretaries, ring stewards, AND of course, JUDGES. I can think of at least 10 SV judges who dountless are lurking in the background, with very keen interest...
