Get your catcher's mitt ready. Call me for help when you think she's in labor.

Every night she starts panting & looking pained, as soon as I lay down next to the whelping box, she flops over and goes to sleep! And I sit and watch her belly dance! She's got one little bugger in there that can really move, already. I'm betting it's a he, EJ thinks it's a sable female. Watching her belly on her left side, it's between her hip & her last rib; if you watch her while she's sleeping, that little critter goes in circles, kicks, & kind of looks like a bucking bronco in there! No wonder she groans when he/she gets going! But seriously, I know with people, babies usually get less active as labor begins, I'm guessing that it's similar in dogs...so judging by how busy these kids still are, maybe we do have a couple more days. I originally had calculated the 6th of March...maybe I was right? I'll call you Shelley, when things get started, you'll only have to wade through 10 or 11 feet of MUD! I really, really don't like mud; house looks trashed after one person or dog crosses the floor! YUK!!! jackie harris ( I really wanted to say 'puppies!' this am...sigh)

LOL as soon as you have to run out for a half hour, she'll start having them.  Never fails.  Mine wait until I can't take anymore days off of work to watch them.

This place is surrounded by mud too. I have pretty much given up on the floors till we get some hard paths and landscaping in, re-stone the driveway and parking area, now a mud hole. I've often thought about putting tile halfway up the walls and a drain in the middle, like a kennel. I vaccum and have the carpets cleaned once in awhile, but mopping the kitchen, with that door to the construction site, is an exercise in futility.

Let me know. Van runs again at last.

Girl is sable or black & tan, hard to tell yet, I think I have 1 black male, 1 sable, & 2 black sables. The girl is mine! Mom did the whole thing like she knew just what she was doing! jh
