Is it my turn to get flamed? LOL

My post was not intended to start up a flame war here. I'm here to learn and to increase my knowledge in the German Shepherd dog including Breeding which I have an interest of doing in the future. It's safe to say that asking questions, even if sounds like criticism should be encourage and respected.

its also safe to say when your questions and comments are seen as criticisms by the majority of folks you need to start asking yourself "why is that....................."

Brittany:

Whether it's breeding or anything else it's never good practice to use money you don't have.

If you think you might be interested in breeding in the future, start saving now.  Figure in all costs, including all possible medical emergencies and transportation, and put that money in the bank.  $3,000.00-$5,000.00 would be a decent number.

In the meantime, do your homework, prove your bitch breedworthy (trials, hips/elbows, etc.) and study the bloodlines to make sure that you're not, ultimately, breeding shit.  Attend one or more whelpings supervised by a knowledgeable breeder to learn what to do and when to be concerned enough to take the bitch to the emergency vet, if needed.

That alone will keep you busy for quite a while with lots to work on.

When it comes time to breed it's "stud fee only".  Giving a puppy back in lieu of stud fee can ultimately cost you money if the price of the puppies is more than the stud fee.

As already suggested, any other questions should be taken to a thread of their own.

6000 pounds?

i hope you had a vet and full nurse staff on hand for that money.

Shelly, how is that fire suite working for you!

i would say my male, but we havent got our title and kor yet (this year if he quits bitting the helper )

anyway, good luck in your search,   i have often looked at your past litters, just had too many dogsof my own at the time.

Since I updated my website I have learned that 3 more of Gabi's "pups" are titled. Two to SchH1, 1 more to SchH3,  (284 pts.) These 3 from Snoopy Fasanerie, not quite 2 yrs. old yet.

All have a1 hips. Several now KK1/V.

I don't know how many that makes now, but come spring there will doubtless be a few more.

I know you have very high standards, and we don't have the titles and kor on Wolf yet, but if you wanted some Grim & Lord in the mix, I'd swap a stud service for a tattoo session......jh
